No, Larae is not my real name… but you already knew that, didn’t you?  I like the idea of a little anonymity as I navigate this world of freelancing and blogging.  I know there can’t be that many repercussions  but I like to think I have a fairly serious life and vocation to which I wouldn’t like to attach my random musings and occasional rantings online.  So, you get Larae.  A true-to-life mash up of who I really am, and what I really think… behind an online persona.  I’ll try not to confuse us all as we go along!

So, I’m an African/European transplant to the metro DC area, where I feel very much at home. I’m married to a model-hot man who makes me laugh a lot. I’m a Christ-follower and my highest passion is probably seeing people have authentic relationships that reflect the love and peace that Jesus died to give us all.  My day job, which I love, involves designing public health programs and writing grant proposals. Backed with a degree in Psychology, and over 10 years of budgeting and grant experience, I am just as comfortable dishing relationship advice, as I am giving tips on personal finances. In my free time, I hang out with my hubby, chill with a book, get on the phone/skype dishing advice to friends and family, and generally don’t take myself too seriously.
